I’m the Mom….

I’m the mom who does the school run with the baby still in her pj’s….

I’m the mom who turns up to meet a friend with a nappy and bottle thrown into my bag/car, forgetting to bring wipes or food for the babies lunch… hoping that someone else will have wipes, and I can just share what I’m eating or find her something…

I’m the mom who remembers on the way to the party that I don’t have a present for the birthday person….

I’m the mom who half way to visit a friend realises that we’re going to be in the car during lunch-time and I didn’t feed the kids before we left because I thought it was too early and anyway I was rushing around trying to get out the door but being late leaving anyway, and seeing as we’re already late we don’t have time to stop for food, but we’re going to be arriving at our friends after they’ve had lunch so they won’t be planning on feeding us…

I’m the mom who assumes that the formula dispenser in the baby bag is full, and doesn’t check before running out the door (late to meet someone, as usual!)….

I’m the mom who no matter how organised I try to be, I always seem to be late or forget something important…

I’m the mom with lists and lists and lists… for everything….

I’m the mom who forgot to organise someone to collect my big kids from school when I was off visiting a friend with the small kids, although luckily because I lose track of time so often, I have an alarm set on my phone to remind me that its time to collect the kids, and heard it from afar and rang my Dad within minutes of school due to finish time….

I’m the mom who some days turns up to the school dressed to the nines, with killer makeup done and lovely clothes, and then the next day with scraggy old tracksuit bottoms and hoodies that should have been binned YEARS ago on with hair dragged up off my face and not a scrap of makeup on….

I’m the mom that is always late….

I’m the mom with great intentions…

I’m the mom that has done most of these things this week already, and we’re not even halfway through! We can only do our best!
